A harnessed rooftop walk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium — 46.8 metres above the pitch with panoramic views across London
The Dare Skywalk takes visitors on a harnessed climb across the roof of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, reaching a glass viewing platform and the famous golden cockerel at 46.8 metres above pitch level. The experience opened in 2021 and is operated by Wire & Sky at Europe's largest single-tier football stand.
Groups of up to 24 climbers scale the south stand of the stadium, crossing a narrow walkway with views down through glass floor panels to the pitch below. At the summit, London stretches out in every direction — from the Shard and the City to the hills of Epping Forest and Alexandra Palace.
The Dare Skywalk is a harnessed climbing experience across the roof of Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London. Opened in 2021 and operated by Wire & Sky, the same company behind Up at The O2, it takes visitors along the edge of the south stand — the largest single-tier football stand in the UK — to a glass viewing platform 46.8 metres above the pitch.
The climb begins at base camp on Tottenham High Road, just behind the Tottenham Experience store. After checking in and receiving a full safety briefing, climbers are fitted with harnesses and walking equipment. Groups of up to 24 then ascend the exterior of the south stand, crossing narrow walkways and steel gantries as the ground drops away below. The route is designed to be achievable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness, though a head for heights certainly helps.
At the summit, the glass viewing platform offers a direct view down to the penalty spot and centre circle. The famous golden cockerel — Tottenham's symbol since 1909 — stands within arm's reach. From this vantage point, London's skyline unfolds in every direction.
The views from the top of the south stand are genuinely impressive. To the south, the City of London and Canary Wharf are clearly visible, with the Shard, the Gherkin and the Walkie Talkie all identifiable on the horizon. Alexandra Palace sits to the west, while the green expanse of Epping Forest stretches away to the northeast. On clear days, you can see well beyond the M25.
Below, the pitch and the stadium bowl give a striking sense of scale. The south stand's 17,500 single-tier seats drop away beneath you, and the retractable pitch system — one of only a handful in the world — is visible from directly above. For football fans, this aerial perspective of one of Europe's newest and most advanced stadiums is worth the climb alone.
The stadium complex offers several options around your Skywalk booking. The Tottenham Experience store sells club merchandise and memorabilia, and goal-line café and bar options are available within the stadium. A separate stadium tour runs daily and can be combined with the Skywalk for a full-day visit.
For those wanting more of an adrenaline rush, The Dare Skywalk Edge adds a controlled 42-metre descent over the side of the stadium — the only such experience at a UK football ground. You can choose to face forwards or backwards for the drop. The surrounding area also repays exploration: Tottenham Marshes and the Lee Valley are within walking distance, and the High Road has a growing number of independent restaurants and cafés.
Participants must be at least 8 years old and at least 1.2 metres tall. Maximum weight is 130kg. Book online in advance as sessions have limited capacity.
Late arrivals cannot be guaranteed entry and will not receive a refund. Allow extra time if travelling by public transport, especially on weekends when services may be reduced.
You will be fully exposed to wind and rain for the duration of the climb. Wear layers and a jacket even in summer. Flat, closed-toe shoes are essential — heels and sandals are not permitted.
All bags, scarves and loose accessories must be stored in lockers at base camp. Smartphones are allowed if secured to the provided lanyard. Larger cameras are not permitted on the walkway.
Sunset Skywalk sessions offer the best light for photographs and sell out quickly in summer months. Check the website early and book as soon as your travel dates are confirmed.
The stadium tour covers the home and away dressing rooms, the tunnel and pitchside areas. Booking a combined Skywalk and tour ticket saves money and makes for a full day out.
