Step by Step Booking

Booking a visit to the Sky Garden is straightforward once you understand how the system works. All bookings are made through the official Sky Garden website. There is no phone booking option and no way to book through third-party travel sites for the free entry slots.

To book, visit the Sky Garden website and navigate to the booking page. You will be asked to select a date and time, then provide your name and email address. Each booking can cover a group of up to six people. Once confirmed, you will receive an email with a booking reference that you need to show on arrival.

When Slots Are Released

New booking slots are released every Monday at 10am. Each Monday release covers dates approximately three weeks in the future. For example, slots released on a Monday in early March would cover dates in late March.

This rolling release system means you need to plan ahead. If you know when you want to visit, count back three weeks and be ready on the relevant Monday morning. Setting a calendar reminder for 9.55am on the correct Monday is a simple way to make sure you do not miss the release window.

Tips for Securing a Slot

The most in-demand slots are weekend afternoons and evening time slots during the summer months. These can fill within five to ten minutes of release. If you are flexible with your schedule, you will have a much easier time getting a booking.

Weekday mornings are consistently the easiest slots to secure. Visits between 10am and noon on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday often have availability even a few days after release. These early slots also tend to offer a quieter experience with fewer visitors on the viewing floors.

If you miss your preferred slot, check back periodically. Cancellations do happen, and slots occasionally become available in the days before a visit as people change their plans. There is no waiting list system, so checking manually is the only option.

What to Do If You Cannot Get a Free Slot

If all free entry slots are taken, you can still visit the Sky Garden by making a reservation at one of its restaurants or bars. The Sky Pod Bar, Darwin Brasserie and Fenchurch Restaurant all accept reservations, and dining guests are granted access to the Sky Garden without needing a separate free entry booking.

Restaurant reservations can be made further in advance than the free entry slots and are available through the Sky Garden website or through standard restaurant booking platforms. While this means spending money on food or drinks, it guarantees your access and removes the pressure of the Monday 10am scramble.

On the Day

Arrive at 20 Fenchurch Street a few minutes before your booked time slot. You will need to show your booking confirmation (either printed or on your phone) and pass through airport-style security screening, including bag checks and a metal detector. This process usually takes five to ten minutes, so build that into your timing.

Late arrivals may not be admitted, so it is better to arrive slightly early than to cut it close. Once inside, you take a high-speed lift to the 35th floor and are free to explore all three levels of the Sky Garden at your own pace.

Group Bookings

For groups larger than six people, multiple bookings for the same time slot can be made, though each booking requires a separate name and email address. There is no formal group booking system for the free entry slots. If you are organising a visit for a large group, making individual bookings in quick succession during the Monday release window is the most reliable approach.
